How we research and correct
Every article starts from primary material: company filings, court records, contemporary newspaper reports, museum collections and the companies' own announcements. The sources we relied on are listed at the end of each post, and any figure we could not trace to one of them is left out rather than estimated. Posts carry their publication date and, when revised, an update date.
We write under pen names and publish no personal details about our writers. If you find an error, email hello@404memoryfound.com with the page and the source; corrections are made in the article and dated.
